Attending an event such as the 59th session of the UN Committee on Women is important not only for sessions, round tables, but also for meetings (both with individuals and groups), conversations, observations, and the resulting thoughts. . I will share them.

And something was happening there. As I now see, the power of preparing a common ground for the evil empire was very, very active and effective. It is a question of continuing intimidation by Ukrainian events (causes, process, probable, from 18 FSB management, consequences), corresponding strengthening of repressive apparatus in these countries, demonstrative punishments of some dissenters (remember detention of human rights defenders of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, etc.).
All this, as well as the lack of a mature, passionate, responsible (it does not matter whether mass or at this stage) civil society has led to the possibility of protests, at least those organized in 2002 against Kuchma, in these countries is now unlikely. Because they say, either bloodshed at once, or (at best (!) - imprisonment.
I asked if there was a certain mythologizing of the ability of punitive bodies to monitor and act. All in one voice said no, but who will check it now.
We must take this into account in the situation of our events and events in the subregion.

Fear of Russia's inadequate actions is implicitly and explicitly present in all conversations. I once wondered why we have it minimized? Probably, because we are already at the stage of not crying, but laughing, that is, this fear has receded before the love for our homeland, this fear can no longer be decisive for us, and our love will overcome everything.
But at the same time, we must take this into account in the reaction of both high-ranking officials of countries and people who are not in these positions, when we expect action or simply human support from them.
- Attitudes towards Ukraine often fall into the "negative shadow" of other "objects of hatred".
We must remember that there are various powerful movements in the world that at this time may view us and our position as unfriendly, and Russia's as close. Some examples.

those quite active movement for peace. This movement is accordingly against the sale of US weapons to other countries. It criticizes both so-called non-lethal weapons, and the "noble goals" by which the arms trade is justified, and euphemisms of the US government, such as "fraternal aid". And after thinking about it, we need to think again about how we should formulate messages to these groups so that they can get rid of the madness with their own eyes. There are some ideas, I have already tried some, but we need to unite to do it professionally, powerfully, organized, coordinated.
There is just a large group of rags, which the United States "salted" at different times in different ways. We must also think about formulating a message to them.
There is a lot of negativity about NATO, so the "dancing" around this organization on our part should be more conscious and critical. As I said, understand, good people, in the situation we found ourselves in, we already clearly understood that we have to get out ourselves, that none of the "greats of this world" will support us as we need, so we go for our land ourselves, but thank you for every little support. This does not mean that we will sell our country for a little support.

So let's not be afraid of this problem. Let's work consciously to overcome it. Let's not lay hands, because the Ukrainian spring has come. In the spring you have to do a lot at the same time, without wasting time, without sparing energy. Then there is a chance to expect a good harvest in the fall.
