NGO "Women's Information and Counseling Center" selected for the Olena Semikolenova Scholarship for Ukrainian researchers for short-term training or research, other initiatives that will promote the implementation of the principle of gender equality in Ukrainian society.
We are pleased to announce that the winner of 2017 was Mykhailo Onufer with the initiative to conduct an educational short-term training course on gender equality among gifted and creative youth of Rivne and Lutsk aged 12 to 17 on the basis of Rivne Economic and Legal Lyceum, Rivne City Palace of Children and Youth and Lutsk Pedagogical College.
Mykhailo Onufer is a student of the Faculty of Humanities of the National University "Ostroh Academy", a participant in the internship program in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 2017 (Secretariat of the Committee on Culture and Spirituality), a member of the Scientific Society of Students and Postgraduates. O. Ogloblina.
Tasks of the project initiated by Mikhail within the framework of the competition:
· To conduct a series of interactive games on gender issues among young people aged 12 to 17;
· To conduct a series of basic trainings and lectures on gender issues among young people aged 12-17;
· Modeling gender roles among course participants;
· Analyze and summarize gender stereotypes that exist among active youth in Rivne and Lutsk;
· Debunk gender-colored myths;
· To teach young people to distinguish between violations of the principle of gender equality.
